Doubble Space

Doubble Space is a creative hub built around people, creativity, and experiences. Founded in 2023 by Julia Anjou and John Scarisbrick, a world-renowned portrait photographer and a multidisciplinary creator and brand developer, Doubble works across fashion, art, music, food, and culture.

The space spans 460 square meters of raw concrete and red mahogany inside the old Gasworks at Torsgatan 22, Norra Bangården. But Doubble is as much a platform as it is a place. It’s where ideas are shaped, tested, and produced - often together with brands, artists, and creators who want to push things a bit further.

Doubble is also one of the founding forces behind ODDNORM - a full multisensory dinner experience that grew out of the same hub, through a collaborative chaos between Doubble, Persona and No Normalcy.

The Location

Located in the old gasworks (Stockholms Gasverk) from the early 1900s, Doubble Space spans 460 square meters of industrial architecture and historical contrasts. Raw concrete, an open layout, and high ceilings define the main hall, with street-facing windows letting in natural light from early morning to late afternoon.

Before reaching the main space, you enter through the large green copper door under the bridge at Torsgatan 22 and arrive in “Poletthallen” – a complete contrast to the raw concrete that follows. Here, you’re met by warm mahogany walls, golden details, and a green star-patterned carpet.

Fun fact: Back in the day, this is where people came to get their gas tokens to warm their homes. Today? It’s a different kind of heat.

ODDNORM is def our biggest adventure and creation. A multisensory dining experience and bar, first launched in Nov 2024. A collaboration between Doubble, restaurant Persona and No Normalcy. Now closed for the season, hope to open again in Q4, 2026.
